Does all money earned through fundraising go into the general Band Booster account? 

Yes, money raised through BSRIMA fundraisers goes into the accounts to be spent on activities benefiting all students throughout the year. Common uses of Booster money include maintenance and pulling of the BSR semi, music and drill costs for the field, and equipment. 

How are fundraising activities selected? 

Most fundraisers are selected by the Booster Board. Some of the considerations are: level of difficulty, cost, volunteer involvement needed, community involvement, social interaction, level of enjoyment, & variety. If you have a great idea for a fundraiser, please let us know!

Why do we fundraise?

Fundraising is necessary for the band to prevent costs for families, help to repair and replace equipment/uniforms, pay for additional transportation expenses, repairs & upkeep of our semi, cover the “wish list” items needed for the band program, provide funds for unexpected expenses, and to allow for growth in the band. Band fees are very common for band programs throughout the United States, with many students in larger programs paying upwards of $1500 or $2000 for band throughout the year. We are lucky to have such an active Booster program to keep costs for students free.

How can I donate to the band? 

You can send in a check payable to the BSRIMA! One great fundraiser we do each year is our donation drive in the early fall.
